we rock!!!

We (myself and three other girls) had a group assignment to do related to ethics for last week. We got it back today and our teacher said "Niki, I'd like to see the law firm of (our four last names) after class please". I was confused and didn't think I heard her right. She assured me I didn't need to be worried, and she was right! She gave us 11/10 (yes, a bonus mark-which she doesn't do very often) and kept praising our work. She was blown away, she said that we raised the standard so high that it was hard to mark other students' work that came after ours. Mrs. Bruce even photocopied it and showed it to her colleagues! I was happy, but I know that 99% of the credit goes to one team member who did SO much and did a great job putting it all together and made it look very professional. The three of us that are left can split the 1% of effort that remains. :) The group was comprised of three of us that are a core group and always work together and one other girl that joined us just for this assignment (bet she was glad she picked our group). I'm so excited! I also got a test back and got 9.2/10 + 2 bonus marks, so even though I didn't get perfect on the test, my mark for it is still 11.2/10, pretty sweet, eh?

This was a good start to a long day. I'm going to stay at school to finish my webpage for IWPD. The plan was to go straight to work, but I'm thinking I might swing by home to pick up some homework to study (two tests tmrw). I didn't realize I can catch a later bus, and we got out of school early-so I'll have time and not have to rush. Bonus! :) It also helps that I slept 11 hours last night. Beauty.

Work 5-1130
(mtg. in the afternoon inbetween)

Friday:
School 8-11
Work 11-3
MCF (christian group @ school) party

Saturday:
Work 530-10

Pretty free weekend! I have one big assignment due, and other than that I'm nearly done all my work and now its just reviewing and in-class assignments before exams start (in 2 weeks). I haven't been this happy during the week for a little while now, and I'm glad things are going so well!

Tomorrow is Spaghetti Lunch at school to support United Way, so we're going to do that as a group of friends. We have a big break between our two classes, what better way to fill it then to eat? MMM.
