NEWSBOYS!!!

So I'm gone for 3 days, come home and I have ONE message on my answering machine...from work. No letters, no (important) phone calls (or none with messages at least...), no e-mails (until Bronwyn told me to check my old account). I was feeling pretty unloved people. But then I remembered the good times I had at camp and that made up for it. :)
It was a little emotionally draining (*little* being a litote...), because of Kyle being there and just some other stuff, but there's no need to post that stuff on here. This is happy times. :) Mrs L & Deb picked me up from work on Friday and we headed out to camp and got there at about 830pm, and to my (very happy) surprise, Laura was there!! So we hung out Friday night, played Fluxx (SWEET), met some new ppl, and just chatted. Didn't do any work, but that was ok. I'd had a busy couple days of work. Saturday morning came WAY too early. I woke up at about 5am, got out of bed sometime after 6 and was in the dining hall before 7. It was a nice long day, full of work. KK, Laura & I cleaned the boys cabins, then Laura & I cleaned the Palace (girls bathrooms) with Mrs L & Karen (Mr L's sister), then we had lunch (I love the camp food there!!). After lunch I did some more work in the Palace, with Dipper, cleaned the craft shed with Dipper & Karen...then helped Matt set up archery (very briefly, we just put some pipes on poles)...then we did some raking and transporting of leaves (he'd already raked most of it what we moved)...then I wandered over and helped Mr L, while he finished the electrical in the new cabin, I put on the plate covers...then it was dinner. (they like their food at Cherith). After dinner, Kyle, Josh, Alex, Laura & I went to the newest trail, Fiddlehead Trail and cleared (and created??) the trail. Kyle had the chainsaw and had fun with that, I had clippers, Laura had gas (so did Kyle & Josh, but of another kind ;)), and we all helped clear away whatever Kyle chopped up. Alex bet me $1 that I couldn't lift a log...and well, I'm stubborn. I lifted it, I dropped it (scraping my arms in the process), but picked it up again and chucked (almost went with it...very heavy) it in a pile. Never did get that $1. I don't care, I was just needing to prove a point. My arms are scratched now though. After a while we gave up on that, I went and had a shower and we went into town to a drive-in theatre, SO cool!! There were two movies (Over the Hedge & MI:3), I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with both. We didn't get home until about 1:30am...looong day. I was up again pretty early, but it rained today so we couldn't get as much work done. Mrs L, Karen & I cleaned the dining hall (big job!)-lots of ladybugs, Daisy which is the staff lounge, and Mission Control which is an accomodation. Then we had lunch, I packed my stuff and Josh, Laura & I drove to TO for the Newsboys concert!!!...

Concert was AMAZING!!! I wish church was that powerful every week. Geoff Moore (from Geoff Moore & the Distance) opened the show, he's going to be at church next Sunday, woot!! I just let loose and had a grand ol time dancing away and enjoying myself, so that was awesome. :D I felt very free and unrestricted and didn't care if people thought I was some crazy pentecostal. ;) I had fun praising God, and boy did I sweat! And in my new shirt too...how disappointing! lol. I got a very cool new Newsboys shirt. It's pink. And it's very...fun. And bright. And cool. Yes, SOMETHING cool! :) In MY wardrobe. haha. I'll have to rotate the pic of Laura and I and post it too, cuz its very cool. :)
I'll post more later, I'm tired. It's 1am. It's taken a long time to write this. It's time for bed. Love you all!!
Niki
