i don't love tuesdays

In Communications we're 'learning' (is it really learning when you already know, but are forced to sit through another lecture??) about parallelism in writing and so, in keeping with my subject title from yesterday...I don't love Tuesdays.

Tuesdays are long. I get to the school at 9am. I work until I go to class, and then I go to class until 6pm. Then I wait for Dave & Wendy to pick me up because we're going out with Megz-this is the highlight of my day! :) I really enjoy going out with them-I just wish Tuesdays weren't so brutal. Also, it's not as if I have easy classes either, one is brutal to sit through, one is with a really intense teacher and the third is a lot of homework. I don't like Tuesdays.

I still haven't had my DTR, mind you I only wrote about it yesterday and he's on afternoons this week. A DTR for those of you who don't know is a 'christianese' term and it means "Defining the Relationship". It's a good idea to have these talks when you're hanging out with someone of the opposite sex and you're really confused as to where you're at, are you dating, are you wanting to date, are you not interested, where is your friend/relationship headed? I've had far too many this last year, with not pleasant results. I wish relationships weren't so complicated, Dave says he thinks they're probably more complicated than they need to be-I think he's right. I just don't know what to do.

So yesterday I had wonderful plans for relaxation, but forgot I'd made plans with a few different people (half expecting at least one to cop out, often does), and then they all wanted to hang out! So much for the nap, or the shower, or the reading, or the rest. Come to think of it, I did have a shower before Maeghan picked me up to take me to Dave's for dinner & laundry. Fun night.

We're going out for our weekly (somewhat) Timmy's tonight and I might get some food, haven't eaten much today. Another reason I don't like Tuesdays-I don't bring lunch because I hate packing it and then I end up wasting $5 to buy pizza. I'm at the school for far too long on Tuesdays. Today it's 10 hours.

I'll be updating periodically when I can at school, but don't expect comments or major blogging on this site...but I'll do my best to keep you posted.

toodles. niki.

  2. Thanks for explaining the DTR, I was wondering what it meant. Don't rush, hang out, get to know each other, it's a bit early yet. Hey, it's a mom's duty to offer advise, don't mention it :) love you lots!

  5. I've hated Tuesdays for a long time now. Not for any specific reasons. You know how, for most people, if there's going to be one consistently crappy day of the week, it's Monday? I don't know why, but mine used to be Tuesdays. They've since gotten better, but once in a while a crappy Tuesday comes up and bites me in the butt. And I agree with your mom, EAT LUNCH.
Plus, is DTR specifically Christianese? I swear we used it in High School. Either way, I'm sure glad I don't have to worry about that anymore. I would hope being married would settle that question...
Kristine: "Sharky, how are you doing?"
    Sharky: "I don't know. Good I guess"
That's about the extent of it with us.
