aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I'm DONE!!!! I did my last shift and it went beautifully!! Thank you EVERYONE for your prayers, I could totally sense that people were praying, it seriously went so well. Yes, I had trouble with things, stayed almost 3 hours late like last time (until 7:40...should be done at 5, YEAH right!), didn't know what to do with the backup tape that was left for me and forgot a couple signs. But that doesn't matter, I did WAY better than last week and I didn't have one panic attack, not one! How awesome is that? And if any night were set up for disaster, last night was it. I got paged from the office at 11:30 asking if I was doing my shift with anyone, because our night cashier was sick-we have two, but they couldn't get a hold of the other one, and it was too late to call anyone, and I'm trained so they figured they'd ask me. One office girl stayed until 5 am, the poor thing had already been there since 6 pm and had been at coop since 8 am that morning!! Then our manager came in at 5! I covered at midnight for about 15 minutes while the office staff sorted something out, and then again at 2:30 for about 15-20 minutes so the girl could go get something to eat and take a break. And even if with those distractions, I still finished the same time as last week and just had a MUCH better night!! My only regret? When people asked me how I was doing and I said much better, I gave the reason that I knew it was my last shift, I didn't have the guts to tell them I had asked people to pray. :( We can't be perfect, but I did tell at least one person that I was feeling better because I was praying through the night-she looked at me as if I were from another planet. Well..."you are strangers in this world...you are citizens of heaven". Guess I am then eh?
I think I can attribute feeling better about last night also to the fact that I slept for 3 hours (instead of only 1) between jobs, and I wasn't worrying about starting my next job right away, like last week. When I got home I slept for another 3 hours today and I still don't work for another 3, so I'm feeling much more rested.
Matt just called, he's coming over to borrow my digital camera and drop off a printer, woohoo!!! Once I get the printer I can start my third job! lol...now don't worry about me, this one won't actually stress me out, promise! All I'm going to do is print up flyers offering typing services. I'll post them in grocery stores and schools, I'm willing to type up reports, letters, papers (but I won't do the research...kids have to do that one) ;) and I can do fast, and I'll do it cheap. I doubt I'll get very many people, if any. But at least my name is out there, and if someday some random person is looking at the community boards in the grocery store while stressing about writing up their Christmas letter, they might just see my flyer! Maybe. Anyways, an extra little source of income, and besides its something I love and it'll keep my typing up to speed for when I become a secretary.
Speaking of which, I never thought I'd feel like this again, but I can't wait to go back to college!! I'm eagerly waiting for my acceptance letter and then I can't wait to go back! Weird!!
Well I think I'll go and make sure my digital camera is ready for Matt...and then I'm totally going to work on my cookbook. I LOVE it! Besides, having everyone over for dinner tomorrow night I want to look for some fun recipes. SOOOO excited. Man, it's nice to be in such a good mood! And now, for another funny quote, in honour of Darrell who's going to Switzerland and just because I'm Swiss and I think it's really funny: “The Swiss have an interesting army. Five hundred years without a war. Pretty impressive. Also pretty lucky for them. Ever see that little Swiss Army knife they have to fight with? Not much of a weapon there. Corkscrews, Bottle openers. 'Come on, buddy, let's go. You get past me, the guy in back of me, he's got a spoon. Back off. I've got the toe clippers right here.” Ah, I like Jerry Seinfeld.
Love Niki
