My friend Matt is working as a short term missionary in the same city where the coup occurred. He says things seem okay, although the school is in lockdown mode and will be closed tomorrow.
We talked about this and I prayed; things seem alright now you've told me. There's so much instability on that continent! Poverty and corruption and some unbelievable brutality. We don't think enough about how lucky we are to live in Canada, or anyone in any of the countries that have freedoms, democracies, luxuries and social support systems!
