the sun is shining!!

So this budgeting thing is getting me all stressed...only adding my rent, tithes and money that I borrowed (because of the stupid delay in my refund), I'm left with $5 (yes, five dollars), before I spend more than I'm earning. It'll be okay, because I have a lot of money saved up-but I really can't wait until I have a real job and I'm actually earning more than I have to spend. I also only spent about 1/3 of my March food budget (I didn't overbudget, I just underate...lol), so really it does balance out-but I really don't want to be an accountant, that much I know. I guess it's all part of the learning process.
Yesterday was fun spending time with Meagan, I'm not into shopping as much as I used to be, it's really quite depressing when you think about walking around and looking at all the stuff you want to buy, but can't. I didn't find the skirt I wanted and the stores that I have gift cards for are for anorexic people, woohoo. I might get flip flops or something from them I guess.
After my chiropractor appointment I walked to the Leakers and talked to Mrs Leaker and Debbie and read the newspaper, just relaxed until it was dinner. Apparently I'm invited to the Leaker side of the family for Easter on Good Friday. That'll be fun! :) There's going to be about 21 people there, I think? I'm predicting that Matt & LA will be engaged that weekend. I'll keep you posted. I really have nothing to base it on, except for a feeling-and besides, wouldn't it be fun if I was right?! ;)
After dinner, Mr Leaker took me driving!!! We drove to the church and I practiced in the parking lot, I'm not ready for the road AT ALL! I drove over a stick (thought I cleared it) and I must've just nicked the end and it flew up and hit the door-but no damage, I felt SO bad, but Mr Leaker said there was no harm done and its ok; just to be safe though he got out and threw it into the field at the end of the parking lot. lol. I'm learning on a big truck (I'll have to tell you what kind it is later, I only know its pewter colour and a newer year of Kyle's Silverado), watch out world-here I come!! (really, watch out, because chances are I might not see you!) ;)
When I got home from my driving lesson I had an acceptance letter from camp Cherith! Now all I have to do is book a week off in the summer and get both jobs to agree on it and then I'm set. Still not sure if I'm going to be a counselor or kitchen staff-I'd be happy being either, but wow is there ever a lot of prep work for being a counselor (at least it seems like it).
I'm off to do some grocery shopping, I'm making meatloaf for dinner and brownies for dessert. Kyle's coming for dinner. :) And apparently some prospective buyers are also coming to look at the place. I told Hatem that I'd prefer if they just stuck to the open house times so that I don't feel like I'm living in limbo-I think I might need to repeat myself. Yes its true, he does need to ask (and is supposed to give me 24 hours notice, which he didn't this time...but I agreed) before he brings anyone down, but I'm just too much of a people pleaser I can't say "no, you're not allowed" because I want us to all get along, but at the same time I'm getting frustrated and I don't think thats fair either. GAH.
Oh well, I'm off now to get a few things for dinner and to stock my shelves-it's not right that I have more baking stuff and candy in the house than any other type of food. Just not healthy! So, life is good, the house is my only headache right now. Update later...I don't know how I keep finding so much to post about. lol.
Niki :)

  1. I made some rice crispy squares with the marshmallows you left here, time to use them up; and we have a ton of rice crispy cereal, that your dad bought a long time ago, I'm not a big fan of them, but I like the squares!! I hope you get nice landlords, maybe it's better this way.
    XOXOXO
