i broke myself! :(

So far the last week especially (and occaisonally before that) I've been waking up with a severly sore neck...here's the story. All last week when I woke up, by the time I had a shower and got moving I was okay, Saturday it was pretty sore and even as I sat in the truck driving down the highway (no, I wasn't driving, :( ) it didn't feel better for probably a couple hours-eventhough I was sitting still. Saturday night I got really sick (aside from the neck) and everything that had gone down that day came back up in my NEW friend Michelle's bathroom. :S ugh. She said it was ok because just 2 days before she got really sick at a stranger's house too, so she felt my pain. Anyways...back to the neck, so Sunday morning I didn't go to church and I rested all day because I was sick and because I didn't move too much I didn't notice the neck pain. Monday morning I got up, felt a little sore, dismissed it, walked to work, worked for 2 hours in severe pain and then said I had to leave because I couldn't move my neck. I seriously couldn't! :( You try bagging groceries when you can't twist your body or move your neck...a very slow process, and I probably looked angry because I was in a lot of pain so I think the customers thought I was an angry cashier. I wasns't really...just a very hurt one. So I called Mrs. Leaker asking if she knew of any chiropractors and since I was at work (which is just a few minutes from her house) could she come get me? (I'd walk, but it's a half hour walk and a 3 minute drive) So she came and got me and I rested from 2pm Monday until about noon on Tuesday. I couldn't do much, mainly lied down and alternated between a bag of frozen corn and a heating pad from the 70's-still works great though! ;) Yesterday it was feeling a little better so I went outside and helped Kyle carry some stuff he was selling then it took it easy the rest of the night. Shouldn't of carried anything, my own fault though. So (there is an end to this story), I'm going to the chiropractor's this morning and praying that I'll be fixed soon, because I can't work like this, and I can't pay a chiropractor's bill without working. What's that called, a catch-22? So, here's hoping, wishing and above all praying.

In other news, I got my official drivers license yesterday-with the picture and all! And I look like I'm going to puke on the person taking the picture. I tell ya, they should take your picture AFTER your test, not before-for one, if you do fail they can laugh and say 'haha, well at least we got a funny picture out of it' and secondly, I wouldn't look nearly as sick if I was allowed to take it once I knew I actually passed. Oh well, I'm a certified (although quite restricted) Ontario driver now, woo-hoo!! I've been able to drive for a month and I've only gone once for about 10 minutes in Leaker's standard in a parking lot. Once my neck heals though-watch out world, here I come!!

What else? On Friday Jo, Alex, Kyle & I are going to go bowling-another reason I hope my neck is okay by then, otherwise I'm going to be the youngest granny bowler there! I'm looking forward to hanging out with people, yay! Jo & Alex are a couple from camp, she's usually away at school and Alex helped renovate my apartment. They're really nice. :)

So now I'm going to go figure out how to make myself some breakfast and get dressed and whatever else I have to do before Mrs. Leaker gets here to take me to the appointment. Gave myself lots of buffer time-like 3 and a half hours. lol. What?? I move slowly, not my fault! ;) Have a great day and I'll talk to you soon! :)

  1. Hi sweetheart, I sure hope the doc fixed you! What do you mean, that you have your license, you don't have to wait a year after getting your L ? Are you a fullfledged driver? I renewed my B.C. ID, after working all night and walking in windy weather, and she took the pic while I was talking, it's pretty bad! :) XOXOXO
