So I had what could've been a really bad day, if I didn't know how to laugh. Thankfully my parents taught me that its an important thing to learn to be able to laugh at yourself. Firstly the day started off with rent a day late and the banks closed, but that sorted out before it could get bad-thank you MAEGHAN! Great roommate. :) Then I went to work and all was going great, very busy, but time was flying by and then I had to go for my lunch. But there were so many ppl that by the time I got my lunch, paid for it, cooked it and sat down my half hour lunch turned into 10 minutes. Oh well, I ate while reading comics, so it was ok. :) Then I went back down to work and everything was just like before, really busy, but time was going by quickly so I wasn't going to complain. But then I went to pick up a bottle of canola oil (thankfully in a plastic container, not glass), when it just busted (don't even ask how, I don't even know) and POOF, oil went EVERYWHERE. My uniform is soaking in dish soap right now, lets pray it works. Then I went for my 15 minute break which I spent washing oil off myself. gah. I came back and was counting down the minutes to six, yes-15, 8, 3, its 6pm now...and now its 5 after and wait, wasn't I off at six? The supervisor forgot about me! One of the girls noticed and told her (because like I've been saying, it was really busy-and I was on express, so I didn't have a chance to even catch her attention). They sent me home only 15 minutes late, which worked out perfectly to catch the bus. So, all in all-it was a good day. Lots to laugh about. And I'm not going to say it again, I don't know HOW the container broke-people keep asking me, it was just magic, I guess.
Well what else is new? I'm looking for a new place, somewhere out on my own. I'm really looking forward to doing that. Been praying about this one place. It looks AWESOME. I need to get a second part time job though. I would need to, regardless of where I moved, life is just too expensive on $151/week.
Well, its the new year and like usual I have no resolutions. No desire to make myself feel guilty about stupid things. So, I guess my only prayer for the new year is to grow more into the woman God wants me to be. But that's hardly a resolution, its something I've been working on for years and I believe its what I'm called to do.
Not much else to update about. Just want to publicly wish my aunt Hazel & Peter all the best on their engagement, congratulations-that's awesome!!! :) I look forward to (hopefully, God willing) being at your wedding. Congrats!!!
Alright, have a great day everyone. And remember, if life gets tough...laugh! Is anything else more desirable? Didn't think so.

Laughter is good!! Did the uniform come clean? You can use ammonia in the washing machine with your laundry soap, just not with bleach at the same time. Never mix bleach and ammonia!! Anyone else have a good tip to get oil/grease out of clothes?
ReplyDeleteHI Bub,
ReplyDeleteYes, that's true - mixing bleach & ammonia causes some sort of chemical reaction...a lot of people have blown up their toilets doing that (often times have blown themselves up too)....kinda funny in a morbid, Darwinian sort of way...
