ARG! And yeah, the first chapter was a litle gross. "THe city was silently bloating in the hot sun, rotting like the thousands of bodies that lay where they had fallen in street battles." UGH! Nice way to start!

It's not about me - loved it. Come Thirsty - am reading it now. He's just not that into you - SOOO have to read it.

Francine Rivers - pretty much anything by her is great.

Tuesdays with Morrie - read it a while back, too. It was touching.

I also own Yancey's "... Grace" book, too.

So, basically, we read the same books. LOL!

OK, I"m gonig now, cause I think my comment(s) are actually longer than your post itself. Whoops.Hillaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16396356143176333785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17856441.post-1146028977481622572006-04-26T01:22:00.000-04:002006-04-26T01:22:00.000-04:00***I LOVE THAT BOOK!!!!!***I own all 3, and I've r...***I LOVE THAT BOOK!!!!!***

I own all 3, and I've read the series like 7 times. Actually, I read those books in high school, and ended up taking 24 credits of classical and religious studies at university because of the interest those books sparked in Ancient Rome and Ancient Greece.

Hadassah, Marcus, Julia, Atretes...

Did you read the ones with the newer covers or the super cheesy romance novel-esque ones where Atretes looks like Fabio in a gladiator suit? I have those ones. So embarassing!Hillaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16396356143176333785noreply@blogger.com
